The Body Global Festival of Global dance and culture

July 24 - August 3

The Body Global will feature performers in a wide variety of styles on stage - and it also gives people the chance to actively participate in dance. The themed workshops and performances have a different culture in focus each day.

Some of the styles you can try:
Sun 27 July - Middle Eastern Mediterranean - Flamenco, belly dancing, and the exotic veil dance
Mon 28 July - Pacific - Breakdancing, M.C.ing, and Freestyling - get your moves hotted up for the Hip Hop Summit in Auckland (Fri 10 - Sat 11 October)
Tues 29 July - Maori - Poi, Tirakau, and kapahaka
Weds 30 July - Latin - Tango
Fri 1 Aug - Asian Indian - Indian Bollywood style
Sat 2 Aug - WISE (Welsh Irish Scottish English) - Morris dancing
