Information on accelerated learning for various age groups. Programmes aim at helping parents develop their pre-school children, students to get better results, and teachers to motivate their learners.

Centre for the Assessment of Prior Learning
Partnership of Christchurch Polytechnic and other polytechnics to assess skill and achievements of adults returning to post-secondary education. Information for employers and candidates.

Dance World
Christchurch based dance tutor and choreographer. Dance instruction and choreography in ballet and jazz for children and adults; flexibility training for serious athletes and others.

Halswell Residential College

Finding out what is happening in the tertiary sector

You can learn a lot about what is happening in local tertiary institutions from simply reading newspapers, watching tv, and listening to the radio. Another way of finding out what is new and notable is to check the organisation's web site:

Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) has a page of latest news and events as well as a section of press releases

The University of Canterbury has its own online newsroom, with interesting articles on current research at the University and information on events and activities. There are links into university publications such as the Chronicle and the diary.

Lincoln University also has a news and information page which features news releases and links to Infolinc and other newsletters.

The Christchurch College of Education has a news page with articles about research, events and activities.
