Important news on Building Consents

Building consents All current buildings under construction with consents issued before 1 April 2004 must be completed by 31 March 2005. This is because of a recent change to NZ Building Code Clause B2 Durability.

September 13 - 19, 2004  Clean Up New Zealand Week
Organised by councils for communities, this  event has for the past four years encouraged tens of thousands of New Zealanders to join forces under the banner of the Clean Up New Zealand Week and make a real difference to the quality of our environment.

September 8 to October 9, 2004 Local government + DHB elections
8 September Updated electoral rolls available for public inspection.
17 September Voting papers mailed to electors enrolled by 20 August.
8 October Last day for eligible electors to enrol or update enrolment details.
9 October Election Day. Voting closes at midday.
