The Bridge of Remembrance is a War Memorial erected by the citizens of Christchurch, initially for the sacrifice made during the 1914-1918 Great War, in 1923. The Citizen's War Memorial (Cenotaph) in Cathedral Square similarly serves as a memorial to those who died in the First and Second World War.

A more recent tribute is Poppies over Gallipoli in Anzac Drive, unveiled in 2003.
