Summer in the Community

Find out what is going on in your community over the summer. Around the Canterbury region there are a number of online community events billboards which will keep you up to date with community, sporting and entertainment events near you. Try Christchurch's Be There, Ashburton's Major Events, Akaroa's What's On, Hurunui's What's On, Selwyn District's Events and Rangiora's Major Events.

Community Net

Are you involved in a community group? Community Net has the tools for you. Community Net is a government funded website which offers information to community groups throughout the country.

Their essential resource is the Community Development Resource Kit. This comprehensive resource covers everything from community development philosophy, how to set up and run a community organisation, through to making submissions.
